How to play Pong Duel
Pong Duel is the classic bat-and-ball game. Choose vs AI (key 1) or Two players (key 2), then press any key or tap to start. You score whenever the ball gets past your opponent's paddle, and the first to 7 points wins.
Against the computer you move the left paddle with W and S or the arrow keys. With two players on one keyboard, player 1 uses W and S and player 2 uses Up and Down. You can also drag a paddle with the mouse or a finger; on a shared touchscreen, each player drags on their own half. To play someone on another device, create an online room.
Tips
- βΈHit the ball with the end of your paddle to send it off at a steep angle. A hit in the centre returns it almost straight.
- βΈBetween shots, drift back to the middle of your side so you can reach either end.
- βΈThe computer predicts where the ball will arrive, but its paddle is slower than yours, so steep shots off the top or bottom wall are your best way past it.
- βΈAfter each point the ball is served towards the player who just lost it, so be ready in the centre.
Pong Duel FAQ
- How many points do you need to win Pong Duel?
- Seven. The first player to reach 7 takes the match, and you can restart straight away for a rematch.
- Does the ball speed up?
- Yes. Each paddle hit makes it about 5% faster until it reaches a maximum, and it starts at normal speed again with every new serve.
- Can I play Pong with a friend?
- Yes. On one computer, pick Two players and use W and S against the arrow keys. On separate devices, create an online room and share the 5-character code or invite link.
