How to play Neon Snake
Steer the snake around the grid and eat the glowing pink food. Each bite makes the snake one segment longer and adds to your score. Turn with the arrow keys, WASD, a swipe or the on-screen d-pad on a phone. The snake never stops moving, so you only choose where it turns.
The game ends the moment the snake's head hits a wall or any part of its own body. Each piece of food is worth 10 points at first, and the value goes up by 5 after every fifth piece you eat. The snake also speeds up a little after each meal.
Tips
- βΈKeep away from the walls early on and move in wide loops through the open middle of the board.
- βΈOnce the snake is long, sweep the board in back-and-forth rows so your body lies in straight lines and never boxes you in.
- βΈYou cannot turn straight back on yourself. To make a U-turn, turn once, let the snake move one square, then turn again.
- βΈThe tail moves out of the way as you go, so following right behind it is safe.
