How to play Simon Says
Four coloured pads, green, red, yellow and blue, each play their own note. Press Start, Space or Enter and watch a pad light up, then repeat it by clicking or tapping that pad, or with keys 1 to 4. Each time you get the sequence right, it plays again with one more step added at the end.
The sequence keeps its earlier steps, so you only need to remember one new pad each round. The round counter shows how many sequences you've completed, and that's your score. Every five rounds the flashes get shorter and faster. One wrong pad ends the game, but there's no time limit on your turn.
Tips
- βΈListen as well as watch. Each pad has its own note, and a tune is easier to remember than a list of colours.
- βΈBreak long sequences into chunks of three or four, like 'green red red, blue yellow'.
- βΈTake a breath before repeating. There's no timer on your turn, and rushing causes mistakes.
- βΈOn a keyboard, rest four fingers on keys 1 to 4 so each pad has its own finger.
